There, I said it and support firing a coach who if she does not at least get us over .500 overall (a low bar) at any point this season and if we finish 10th or lower in SEC and make no post season trny in her 4th year with 5 of her recruiting classes and having just missed out on #1 player she needs to be fired.

If we make NCAA or even have a .500 SEC record (didn't have one last year) I support a 5th year, if not she needs to go.

I'm ready to hear from others, but cannot imagine why others think this is an unfair expectation. We are LSU we made 5 final fours in a row and 10 NCAA trny in a row. This is her 4th year, and it's not like we have any great talent coming in next year!

She looks better than 90% of women's college coaches. That right there is enough to keep her around for another few years. Nobody really cares about women's basketball anyhow.

Once upon a time, there was fairly significant fan support for LSU WBB. NC has basically destroyed that. I don't see a scenario where this year improves enough to keep her around...

Glad we don't have a non looker like Dawn Staley coaching here.

Astounding how quickly this program has fallen off the radar.

Ten years ago, the team would make its first of five straight Final Fours. Now we are hoping to beat UC-Santa Barbara after a blowout defeat to Long Beach State...

Do we fire her now or do we wait to see how the full season goes. There is someone that wants to fire her after every loss. It is something amiss in calling for the firing of a coach who has won 20+ games each year, gone to the NCAA tournament each year and the Sweet 16 the last two years.

Women's basketball could fall off the face of the earth and I wouldn't care or even notice.

This. As long as she continues to wear tight skirts and high heels, by all means, keep her on. It's only women's basketball. Nobody really cares except die hards and carpet kissers.

Because of her back-to-back sweet 16's with okay talent, she's earned one more season. However, she had another awful recruiting season, so it's safe to say LSU will suck next season too.

I have mixed emotions on Alleva hiring her. Caldwell was arguably the best up and coming coach in wbb at UCLA; recruited great, built the program to prominence, young, etc...anyone would have hired her in a heartbeat.

With that said, she needs to gtfo next year if things don't improve drastically. I am still in awe she never fired her guido assistant who made an arse of himself at the douchiest bar downtown (City Bar)

for all those who don't care, fine, feel free to NOT post, we have a season ticket base of over 2,500 and this is the 4th most important sport (by far) at LSU and on the national level. We have put $$$ in it to be a top 10 program.

And this years actual attendance has been terrible! Support is way off and we are losing to some bad teams.

So for those who support NC staying after this year, if we go 5-11 in SEC or worse, below .500 overall AND NEVER GET OVER .500 ALL YEAR and she signs no more top talent for next year...can we fire her after this year? If not, why not? Really want to know

Fire him? I'm pretty sure he was on the plane with the team the next day heading to some tournament they were playing in. There was absolutely no discipline of any kind.

LSU already hired Nikki by the time they had a coaching change, and I'm pretty sure that it was long assumed that Warlick was getting the job anyway.

please tell me what factual metrics you used for this....any?

Allow me to retort:
WBB- over 300 D1 teams, every SEC schools has a team, the final four sells out ever year and the average SEC coach makes over $300k a year, something none of the sports below have...also 2500 season ticketholders at LSU, only Gym comes closs to this and they have 5-7 home matches a year....our coach makes $700k and next coach will make more

Track- Coach makes about $200k, attedance in the entire year and $$$ spent by LSU is 6-8th, not every sec school even has it

Gymnastics- Our coach makes about $200k, Only 7 SEC schools and 42 BCS schools in the country even have it

Softball- Our coach makes about $150k, Avergae attenedace at home games is under 500, not every sec schools even has it

I wouldn't care, but pissing away a million dollars on a womans basketball coach seems silly.
