First US player to play in 4 World Cups. The way he reinvented himself this last cycle to get back into the national team picture took a lot of work.

My first favorite American players. Needless to say it was a love hate relationship for a while, but he found a way to bounce back and really finished his career off strong. He's a player that younger players should look to for advice (mainly players struggling in Europe).

This is so weird for me. 2002 is the first World Cup I remember watching... I don't know the USMNT without DMB....

Damn, the two kids from the 2002 squad have now retired. Beasley was awesome and it sucks to see a lot of the old guard retiring (from the national team).

Most UCL goals of any American

Only American to play in four World Cups

I hope he finishes out the rest of his career strong with Houston and then comes to Atlanta in 2017 for another season.

I still remember going to the Mexico game in Houston years ago, and we played Beasley up top. Final score was 0-0.

LOVE ME SOME DMB. He was clutch this year, especially considering so many of us were worried. Hell, I convinced myself that Timmy Chandler was good and could take his spot.
