You said you just want to win Championships! Other than Saban, so he is literally the only current example of a coach you can say wins more than Miles - ONE guy -, who else "current coach" can you compare to what MIles has done at LSU? No one. And please don't mention that fricking fraud at Ohio State, he has won more than Miles but look what he did to the Florida program, do you really want a guy who jumps ship as soon as things get a little tough. He recklessness at UF has had more former players arrested than any other current coach! We don't need that shite at LSU.

I don't always agree with Les Miles but I respect him and I am glad he is our coach. Do I wish he wasn't so stubborn and would quit trying to pound a square peg into a round hole sometimes? Absolutely. Do I wish he could figure out how to develop QB's better than he has and is doing right now? Absolutely

Are you sure that he's a coach? I'm starting to think that he's a guidance counselor.

He's a college football coach, not a politician.

He doesn't get paid $4.5 million dollars/year to shake hands and kiss babies.

But when you read things like this it continues to prove to people what kind of man Les Miles is
He is totally a nice guy. So nice that I would like to reward him by paying him to stand on the sideline and to not have any responsibilities as far as offense and defense goes. In fact, he doesn't even have to sit on the sidelines. I would favor buying him a "coach's luxury box" and let him watch every home game on comfort.

I don't think anybody questions Les as a good man. Well maybe because it is the rant. Dudebro2 I agree completely, but we all as LSU fans want to win more games. Les will probably be the all time winning coach at LSU. I like Les although like you I don't understand some things...mostly QB issues.

I'm scared big time on who may follow him as I have been an LSU fan for many years. Plus I have seen new head coaches at Bama, UGA, UF, Aub, Tenn, ND, Michigan, Penn St, Texas, Nebraska, USC, and yes LSU fail miserably and many more.

I think as far as the rant goes the success of Saban, LSUs former coach, has made the tenure of Miles damn near impossible. It is what is. Les seems to be a good man and coach. If Rich Rod would have taken the job at Bama, all of us would have been happier in my opinion.

This is an LSU fans curse and has made many on here apparently angry and perhaps miserable.

what?

moral (Def) - holding or manifesting high principles for proper conduct.

This is a moral victory due to the declination of championship victories. They are more & more prevalent among Miles supporters.

Are you that dense? (rhetorical question)

He gets paid 4 million to win games. Something he has done at a higher % than about 4 coaches in the entire history of sec coaches. Do you know how hard it is to maintain 10 win average for a decade while playing in the hardest and deepest division cfb has ever seen? Only 4 programs have managed to win 9 games each of the last 5 years. FOUR.

I completely agree it is not good enough, but he is not going to get fired over this years 8-4 season. Matter of fact if he goes 8-4 next year, got news for this board - HE WON'T BE FIRED THEN EITHER.

That being said it will be very interesting to see what he does with the young talent we have this year next year when they aren't as young. Watching what he does with the QB situation next year will be pivotal to Miles losing more of the fan base. We will see but I hope he corrects the mistakes that he has made this year - don't have a lot of confidence in that because the man is so stubborn - but I hope it happens.

My "what?" was also rhetorical. Why do you think that simply posting something about Les interacting with someone's child and inferring from it and other instances that he seems like a good guy somehow constitutes a "moral victory"? It's a fricking story. Completely separate from wins and losses. No one is saying that eliminates our 4 losses and shitty bowl game.
