How is it?
The Fiance and I are thinking of switching over and opening our joint accounts there. She's with Regions. I'm with Dowlafcu. I like Dow, but I'm not opposed to the switch.

Been with them for years and no issues.
Go with a Resource Bank. Always hear great things about them and they are local to SE LA (if you live here)

I've been with them since I opened my first account when they were Hibernia. Very pleased, plenty of locations. I switched to Regions for a little while, but quickly went back to Capital One.

What exactly are you looking for out of a bank?
For a checking account, they are fine. Plenty of local/regional locations, free ATMs/refund fees, free checking/interest checking, mobile deposit, etc.
I've been satisfied with CapOne. I also use Sharebuilder and Capital One 360 (old ING Direct), so the transfers are instant and free. Besides those things, they seem like just your normal banking experience.

Capital One employees have always treated me very well. They always stepped up if there was an issue (rare).
Great customer service if you have to go into a branch (for the branches I visited). I enjoy their commercial online banking webpage.
They do have a good bit of turnover but I think that is common in the field.
Never have done a business or personal loan with them though. Only negative is timelines of larger checks being credited to my account.

If you or your soon to be wife are military or have immediate family that is military, go with USAA.
Even if you aren't military, you can still open up a free checking | savings account with USAA.
