ridiculous. Hargrove signed on with multiple teams after that. He just wasn't good enough to make it on the field in the regular season.

Nope, it's backed up that he was released and blackballed over inaccurate attribution to Bountygate.

Money Bill Simmons quote: "The people who should be the most upset about this are the Saints and their fans. They lost a whole season."

Simmons again: When you see the preferential treatment that Goodell gave to Kraft and the Patriots - one of his angels that helped him get the Commissioner job, and the preferential treatment that Goodell gave to Biscotti and the Ravens - one of his closest allies... The real question is that if Bountygate had happened to the Giants or the Patriots or the Ravens instead of the Saints - would the punishment have been far less?

The punishment would have been:
Bill fined 500k
Pats fined 250k
Pats lose 2012 1st round pick (31st)

Sounds about right.

Can't stand Simmons. I I'll take your word that it was a good listen.

The Saints didnt just lose a season. They are still hurting bc of this. Saints lost two 2 rd picks (cheap potential starters) as a result. The effects of this are on display this season for sure.
