Didn't know that about him and his wife liking Baton Rouge. I know he and the FSU administration don't get along but I didn't think it was that bad.

Hiring Jimbo would be an enormous downgrade after Les. Are you people serious?

I don't know how much blame you can put on Jimbo for player off the field issues. This seems to run a lot deep than just the head coach. Hire Jimbo and bring Muschamp along as well.

I don't think LSU fans realize that if Les did leave, there won't be a whole lot of big name coaches wanting to leave their program to come to LSU and play Bama every year. We would have to hire a coach for a smaller school that is probably unproven for the most part.

Hell, we wouldn't even be the #1 job open in the SEC. We would have to fight for Florida which is a better job IMO.

Play Duke N.C. State and Wake Forest or play Bama, Auburn, and the rest of the SEC west. I'd stay in the ACC, he's pretty much guaranteed no more than 2 losses per year in the ACC.

Some of you guys underestimate the competitiveness of these coaches.

I know people in the LSU arena who know Jimbo and I expect that he would get a call even if it was off the record or on backchannels. Felony State is in the midst of a bad investigation and he just might be willing and LSU just might be willing to pony up the cash.

Would lsu fans want him?

The golden goose is in his last year at FSU. It's only a matter of time before the corrupt nature of the program catches up in Tallahassee, would jimbo consider moving back to Baton Rouge?

Another question. Knowing that, do you think the Lsu administration would gauge his interest under the table, and based on that give Les a nudge to head home?

Let's face it, Les is 61 years old

He wasn't exactly playing with half a deck at oregon. They've got 29 former players in the NFL.

LOL, he is barely beating teams with a pulse, doesnt discipline players. This is the haters argument against Les. Youd be getting the same guy.

You guys forget how conservative his offenses were at LSU and FSU. Last year was the exception, not the rule. And he did that with a heisman qb and a defense littered with nfl talent. Something FSU had way before he ever got there.

I think LSU would be dumb not to trade Les for Jimbo

No shite. Too many posters think these coaches have the same priorities they do. Most lifelong coaches are ultra-competitive. Stability is important, but it's contradictory to what happens in coaching.

Most coaches aren't the tepid and afraid types that back away from challenges. In fact, most set out to prove that they are the GOAT.

Then why wasnt her hired when saban left? Guess we were dumb, what would change now that we have an even bigger idiot in charge than we did in 2005?

ok so what happens if we dont hire any of these guys? Which is the most likely scenario since we hired Les one year removed from a bcs title, we are now 7 years removed.
