Although it's really not debatable by knowledgeable fans that he is one of the top coaches in college football, he does have one major flaw, his slowness to make changes to personel and assistant coaches. Case in point: Beckwith for Welter. Also possibly Harris for Jennings (although this could be Cams influence on this). Thirdly, his continued trust in Cam Cameron and his lack of making a change, as of yet, in this glaring weakness to the program. We can only hope he breaks his trend and makes the change after the regular season and before the bowl game. But we will probably have to suffer through another entire season of Cam running the offense before the change happens.

Why do you clowns continue to say it was Les' call to start Welter?

You're really ready for Cam to go? Wow...

I'm pretty convinced that Harris is just a shithead that isn't putting the work in that's needed

Interesting that before the season started people on this site were head over heels in love with all of our assistant coaches. Cam developed Bree's, Flaco, yadda, yadda, yadda! Now because we had a year with an untested QB people want to blow up the ship. It ain't easy being an LSU fan with people jumping on and off the band wagon all the time.

So cam has been here 2 years. First year we set school records, SEC records, averaged 36 points per game. This year, poor QB play, and the offense has sputtered. He should be fired?

Have you ever given a thought that the plan was to bring Beckwith on slowly from the very start?
Kid got better as year went on. .. He was as bad as welter first of the year.

As far as qbs go, les miles makes a lot of money.
I'm sure he wants to keep his job and win more than me, you and anyone else here.
There's a reason Harris hasn't played more.
I don't know that reason ....but it's not bc of loyalty you fricking retard.
Geeees.

Somewhat related but his biggest weakness is not demanding enough from himself and his staff.

add in bringing back BDP to destroy our special teams. The clown destroyed our d in 08 and miles welcomes him back after he destroyed Northwestern State. Now our special teams has gone to garbage.

Well if Miles calls the shots on defense then he put together the best defensive squad ever at LSU. To top that off he put one of the best offensive squads ever at LSU.

Historically, many head coaches at the college level have been known for excessive loyalty to assistant coaches. This is usually emphasized more when the team is underachieving or struggling.

In addition to Cameron, Miles was too loyal to Crowton and Studrawa for sure.

But Miles is not the first at LSU to be like this--DiNardo seemed to be excessively loyal to Tepper and other Tiger head coaches no doubt also suffered from this flaw.

You are absolutely correct. No question. Review every personnel decision he's ever made and you'll find that Les Miles' greatest quality - and weakness - is loyalty to people and, believe me, LSU. He has yet to learn that sometimes loyalties conflict and the leader has to make a difficult decision. Until he learns this lesson we will continue to have personnel issues. I deeply cherish this quality, along with integrity (another of his qualities), and I continue to have a deep respect for Coach Miles. But please, get this figured out. He's not doing right by both Jennings and Harrison by being loyal to Jennings.

So boxcar, no mention of how his misplaced loyalty kept your son/nephew/cousin at QB through all his putrid performances? You certainly defended Les then when the rest of the fans wanted to vomit watching our offense. What's changed now?
