I mean though Hayward was one of my favorite Braves its not like he ever really lived up to expectations. I kept drafting him in fantasy only to be disappointed.

I don't know what to feel. Sad to see him go. Wish we would have seen what he could do with a competent hitting coach that would tell him to stand closer to the plate. At the same time, his stellar defense just wasn't enough to cover his inconsistencies at the plate. It's a sad day for the Braves and most Braves fans. Good luck J-Hey.

I mean the absolutely only silver lining is JHey wasn't going to stay so at least we got something in return.
But man I was so hoping we'd unload the Uptons and then be able to sign him.
Sucks bad. Be curious to see how much the Cards will throw at him or if he'll test free agency no matter what.

Braves fans..this is not a tanking move.
If tanking, wouldn't it be smarter to let Heyward walk after next year and get the first round pick compensation?

Not sure how to feel about this trade as a cards fan. Not sure why Braves fans think they got fricked in this trade.
