I'm oaky with this trade.
Controllable couple of arms for 1 year of Heyward, and a bullpen piece that could be replaced by an incoming Viz.
Miller will be a good player under Mcdowell.

Good, get rid of the whole lot. Kimbrell is the only winner on our team and plays the least important position. Braves are a bunch of losers and Frediot is their king.

From reading this thread, it sounds like it has as much to do with the fact that Heyward is a fan favorite over how each of the players might help their respective new teams.
Miller was a different pitcher after messing with and putting more faith in his sinker. Where I had almost given up on him earlier, after he started throwing the sinker, I was actually looking forward to him in the rotation next year.
Jenkins has top of the line stuff, supposedly has had a solid fall. LINK He was definitely one of the young arms I've been keeping an eye on as some of the other young arms got moved up. He's had a tough go of it with injuries, but if he can stay healthy, he will be a legit prospect.

Time to sell my season tickets if they roll Gattis out there in the outfield.
Not sure what I expected when they handed the reigns over to a front office that thought 1 World Series in 30 years was some kind of Golden Age though.

Yup. We wanted him to be the face of the franchise and technically there was still hope that he would turn into that person. I don't think he is that player tho.

We traded a player who was leading the NL in WAR for most of the season for four years of a terrible pitcher and the #14 pitcher in the Cards system.

shelby miller was starting to blossom last year. i dont think you really know what you are talking about. i'm not too excited about losing miller. but we needed a RF.
