Who all are members? Turning 30 next year and likely going to join. How are the sports in terms of competitiveness, fun, etc. - mainly flag football and basketball.

TIA.

I've heard about it. That's about it though.

It used to be well run organization with 4-500 members and 3-4 sports. I don't know it's still legit these days. I enjoyed it for 6/7 years way back.

I've been meaning to look into it. Been playing flag football in a BREC league and lately in a pickup game with some of my wife's coworkers. They're in their mid 20s and I can hang but my body can't, about to be 32 next month.

Is their flag football league in the fall?

I think they just get together once a year and march in the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

I did it for few years recently. The sports are competitive and fun. You choose from flag football, golf, basketball, beach volleyball and softball. Really a great group and every one is really friendly. There's also a lot of social stuff like tailgates, an annual party at a members house on diversion canal, an annual formal, golf trips, fishing tournament, Christmas parties, St Patty's float and party, etc. Flag football is always Monday night and then you can go to Happys and watch MNF with a drink special for members. Every Friday a big group gets together for lunch somewhere around town.

My neighbor does this and has asked if I want to join... so far I haven't. He says it's a lot of fun though.

30 is ancient? Just go find a local adult league for a sport and play.

Every person I met that was in Ancient Athletes was a pompous a-hole. That only totals 4 or 5 people, but they all sucked at life.

True story.

ETA: unless xxxx was in it. I think I met him once and he was cool. So about 80% douche.
