what you have to give for that? I got 13k for one earlier this year but the motor was most likely blown up
Originally agreed to pay me $22k for it. I drive to Gulfport and the dude says he'll buy it, and we go to his bank. As soon as we get out, he drops on me that his bank will only give him $19.5k.
A week later, the dude non-stop blew up my phone because it broke again and his mechanic couldn't figure out what was wrong. The transmission also blew up because he turned up the programmer and ran it at the track. I told him that if he wanted my advice, he could pay me the extra $2500 that he agreed to pay me before I drove to Gulfport. He denied, and as far as I know, he is bankrupt from the truck.
I actually had the lead diesel mechanic at a very reputable shop explain to me that about 1 in 100,000 trucks are cursed, and will never be able to be fixed 100%. Mine was that one.
That truck actually caused me to change careers because of the repair bills
OP, for my current truck, I paid cash in full in Texas and left with a bill of sale and some temporary Texas papers. The next week, the dealership sent me the title that they had to get printed from the TX DMV. I went to the title place will bill of sale, title, and insurance, and they gave me a plate in 20 minutes. I'm not seeing your problem

His problem is... In LA it is the norm to pay the dealer the tax and license fees and they go to DMV (or a 3rd party) and have the plates mailed to you.
If they don't, you're screwed out of those fees, and worse, the sales tax.
He will get his plates, or they will go out of biz, is my guess.

I believe this to be true, and not just with trucks.
