How quickly would Chip Kelly turnaround the University of Florida football team?

Cowherd was discussing the inevitable UF coaching vacancy and he said that Kelly would likely be on the shortlist. Granted, it is highly, highly unlikely that Kelly would go back to the college ranks IMO, but if he would, there is arguably no place to do it than Florida.
I started thinking about how quickly Kelly could turn things around at Florida and wanted to see what the MSB thought. I'm not a huge Kelly fan, but his success at Oregon coupled with his NFL success and experience would have Florida in the title hunt within 2 years IMO. They would be a machine.

He's clearly a good coach, and Kelly at Florida would be scary.

As quick as the gus bus did, assuming they have a manageable chip kelly type QB available

If they could bring in Chip and somehow keep Muschamp as DC, they could win multiple titles within 5 years

I don't think it makes any sense whatsoever to leave the NFL after 2 years of great success to go to a college job worse than the one you left.
I would absolutely love it if he came. My answer is I think he would turn the program around immediately. Rebuilding efforts don't take as long as people think. But I mean it makes no sense.

Maybe I heard him wrong, but I though he was saying Brian Kelly. Again, I was only halfway listening on the way to work.

i'm pretty sure UF already has a coach that is only capable of beating tennessee and none of the good sec programs

Doesn't matter; ain't happening.

There are definitely more places in cfb than Florida.

Chip Kelly isn't going to leave the NFL.

If at LSU or Florida and the talent he could recruit he'd make Saban his bitch before he "retires".

We won the BCS and SEC in Meyer's second year, so pretty damn quickly. The talent is there.

Not gonna happen, but if he went to UF I'd imagine they'd be in the playoffs by year three.

Similiar to what Meyer did. Don't know how good of a recruiter he is. He would have to go up against Saban, Miles and the rest of the coaches for players, although I understand Florida has a ton of players.

He could turn around the offense (one of the worst, to good) and defense (one of the best, to not-so-much) very quickly.

He would be the first person I'd call if I was UF's AD. You never know. Even though he is having success in the NFL, he may not really enjoy the job. At least make him tell you no.

I guess it's emblematic that I haven't watched enough UF this year to know what offense they run. Assuming it's still the spread & they didn't have to flip the roster, Chip would get it done quickly.
They'd also be dumb not to offer Rich Rod & his merry band. I think he's vindicated himself & damn sure doesn't have a loyalty problem.

As soon as he's able to get a QB
