Took this photo the other day coming home from fishing. In the huge dead cypress on hwy 22 right by Clio Bridge in Maurepas.

I know exactly where your talking about. I saw one 4 years ago while driving on hwy.63 not far from 444. It flew down landed right beside the road and flew off. I could see it clear as day. I've lived here my whole life and the only other one I've seen in this area is right before Katrina. Now I've seen plenty on the water ways.

I saw one just east of Highland on I-10 last week.

Terrebonne parish last week. We have a healthy population of them.
