Though I agree that Jennings and Harris do not look around before throwing to their intended target, people my try standing in their position and see if they can see over the offensive line. It's not as easy as fans think.

We've had the TE open at least once a game, often more than that, in practically every game this yr.Wide open for TD's. The Black Bears & bama are going to stack the box & pressure Jennings like we've not seen since the last great bama defense of several yrs ago. Not sure why we don't use the swing pass to a RB as it seems every time we do we gain yards & even Jennings can make that pass. Could be ugly & over early Sat nite if we don't try & pass more, as 120 yards passing against either team won't come close to cutting it.

what i'm trying to figure out is
WHY ISN'T MELVIN JONES STARTING OVER NEIGHBORS
i know neighbors is a senior and is a quality player with leadership but
Melvin Jones would've caught that pass because he's a lot taller than neighbors and probably would've powered it into the endzone with his 250+lb
Another thing that bugs me
don't you generally want your fullback to be bigger than your runningbacks? then there's neighbors going out with LF in the I formation most downs this weekend and he's smaller than LF, against Florida Melvin Jones went out with LF on most of his runs and look how well he ran

This thread is great because only LSU QB's ever miss an open receiver.
You people are world class fools that don't know squat about football.

You guys who saw that wide open TE. When you were playing QB in the SEC could you see the field as well then as you can now when you are on the sidelines?

It's troubling because last night hid our passing issues. Our issues are still there larger than ever, imo.
You do not no football no reason to change anything if you win No reason to improve if you win the game. You do not worry about the next game.

Let's compare those that were top ranked quarterbacks by recruiting services. That strikes me as the relevant population. Guys of equal skill absolutely have to see obvious stuff like that. It isn't even debatable; so, your point is laughable.

It's funny that you guys haven't figured it out yet.
They don't trust Jennings at all. They MAKE his first read the safer throw. Usually always to the outside. Even if it's downfield, it's an outside guy with the sidelines to protect a bad throw.
Just keep this in mind when watching, everything is towards the outside. Very seldom do they have him looking over the middle. He's not good enough to throw there. That's why we have awry little TE catches.

Not sure really what this means, but English, like logic, is lost here.

So you are saying that LSU hasn't improved this year? Do you watch any games or just repeat what the attendants tell you?

Its a lot easier to see open receivers from the stands or on TV. Qbs don't have the luxury of a birds eye view.

Same can be said to Harris on his interception...let's tryyyyyyyy to be unbiased even though that's impossible for most fans
bullshite. Harris would be in Heisman contention if he could ever see the field. He's a cross between Brees and Cam Newton, except more talented.

Fans in the stands see just how wide open the receivers and TE's are on plays. You don't really grasp how bad Jennings is until you see the whole field and not just what you see on TV

Neighbors was open and would have scored if properly executed. Jennings missed seeing open receivers all night which has become common. He did check off a couple of times against Florida but did not seem to do much if any against the 'Cats.

All QB's will miss an open receiver or two every game, but most of what fans see are either a) how wide open someone is after the QB has committed to a play and the defense has reacted, or b) how open another receiver is on a single option play. What both QB's are lacking right now is the ability to look at a defense pre-snap and recognize who is most likely to be open, whether they'll need to look a safety off, etc.

pretty sure that was sarcasm, although somewhat of a poor attempt

..and it wasn't like Stokes was on the other side of the field.
He was behind Neighbors, wide the frick open, and an easier throw.
