How hard are the series 65/66 exams?

I'm looking at a website where you can look up the credentials of stockbrokers, financial advisers, etc. There's one in particular who took the Series 65 and/or 66 exam 11 times over the course of 15 years, and failed every time. Are they really that hard, or is he just a dumbass?
Oh yeah, and took the Series 63 exam 3 times before passing.

I'm sure some superstars are going to come on here and tell you that it's easy. That being said, I took the 66 last Monday and made 79. Took the series 7 on the 4th of August and made a 82. If you study strategically and don't spread it out over too long of a timeframe, it's not hard, just a tough test.

Superstar here, I took the 66 nine days after the 7 and got an 88. My advice is if you're interested is go to Kaplans live class, I did mine in Houston and the instructor only taught what you need to know, could have made the book 1/4 the size. If you try to know every detail you will trip yourself up.

The 66 sucks, no way around it, it's so boring. But that website doesn't make sense, the 66 and 663 are interchangeable now, you don't even have to take the 66 if you have the 63? Did he just take the 66 for years and then when they switched to the 63 he finally passed?

The 66 is tricky. It's substantially less information than the 7, but the wording is designed to trip you up. If you take your time and read the questions carefully you shouldn't have much trouble with it.

Passed the 7 on Aug 18th with an 84 and the 66 on Aug 28th with a 78. The investment material (half of the exam) translates from the 7. It's the details of the laws and regulations (USA,NASAA,Investment Advisors Act of 1940, etc.) that's designed to mess you up.
The 66 is written by corporate lawyers. Stupid exam, tricky exam. Good luck!

I would have a hard time trusting my money with someone who failed any test 11 times. If that’s what you are asking.

I failed the 65 the first time. Its the only test I've ever failed but i was stupid about it. I waited too long to study then my son was born early. Trying to cram for the 65 with a newborn and wife suffering severe postpartum depression does not work lol. I failed by 3 questions. 30 days later crushed it

66 is borin material. I had to take both the 7 and 66 for work and I don't even sell products. I am still scratching my head why I had to take this crap.

Passed it today. It was difficult. Took Kaplan pretest course. Videos really made difference.

66 is mostly legal is i remember correctly. I passed it with a 75 which was the minimum passing score on my forst try. I studyied just yhe right amount, took it 2 or 3 weeks after 7 which i got an upper 80s score on.
The 66 is the 63 and 65, so it is more difficult than the other two on their own, dont sweat it and good luck!
