You can't start two QBs. Alum made a post saying Brees was OTB, which tells me he likes Brady more than Brees. So he is essentially trading Dez and a guy he cannot play (Brees) in return for 3 guys he can start + Gordon and whatever he has planned for him.

yeah, dude has played really well.
by the time AJ gets back, I may be out of this thing anyway. Not to mention I have a ton of bye weeks still to come. It may not be until week 10 when i can start dez/aj/julio together

Brees OTB does not mean Brady > Brees. It means he thinks Brady will be serviceable and that he can use Brees to acquire some talent at the skill positions.
I would be very surprised if he chose Brady over Brees ROS. He knows that Brees has way more trade value, especially with this bye in the past.
