That was 10 years after McCartney and they had reworked the program.
CU did not keep his formula.
IIRC McCartney left after a 11 win season, but there was trouble brewing about his teams and family life.

I hear ya. My rationale was that CU was hot garbage when he got there. He made them relevant and they were able to stay relevant for a hire or two.
