What are some careers that pay well, but won't let you enjoy your earnings?

Can someone list those careers?

Oil diver.
Apparently, you have to spend all your money on hookers and drugs before you get back to your wife at home.

Lots of various finance jobs. On the road a lot while putting in extra hours at the office. I'd hate to see what I made on a per hour basis.

My buddy is a 2nd year field engineer for haliburton... he makes good money for his age but works absolutely ridiculous hours.

I always wondered how lawyers and doctors with a lot of customers went on vacation. Seems like they would always have something they can't miss come up.
Field engineer is worth mentioning, but they usually get a good bit of days off too. When I was one I would work about 18 days a month- about 210 a year. That's 155 days off..the only problem is they are often on call on those days off, but if you are a good ol boy and just want to fish or hunt on days off (ie not stray far from home) it's pretty ideal. And you also get vacation like other professions, so you can take as many trips as other people.

Construction.
If you're in the wrong construction career, you're working 7/12s, on the road, no time and a half, just bull shite. I have to imagine that the only people who voluntarily choose to work that are either trying to pay off ex-wives, child support, or are in serious debt. Why? Because it's awful. I'll probably miss the LSU game this Saturday because of stupid scheduling. I guarantee, there's going to be a lot of upset coonasses not doing shite on Saturday, but they're going to be paid to be here all the same, wasting everyone's time and money.
