I would love for US Soccer to make an actual jersey like that.

I would totally buy one.

I just finished watching the game. It was great to see such an amazing tribute to one of my favorite athletes.

I am going to miss him watching him play so much. I really hope the Galaxy win it all this year (one more time) because the farewell between Donovan and Arena will be special.

There were a couple things I realized while watching the documentary and the highlight videos posted.

Landon's first goal was against Mexico. It was the second goal of the game. Landon's 2002 headed goal in the World Cup was against Mexico. Landon's last was against Mexico. It was the second goal of the game.

Also, I believe Landon accomplished scoring a dos a cero goal one other time in his career.

I pointed this out in another thread that he almost had a sixth World Cup against Portugal that was (properly) ruled as an own goal.

Landon never missed a penalty in his USMNT career. I believe he made 13, but that number may be wrong and can easily be found out. I loved the Gatorade commercial for Landon.

Most of all, Landon is the reason I got into soccer. I was watching the 2010 World Cup with friends and Landon's dominance just hooked me. The overpowering goal against Slovenia was just surreal. I have never seen a goalie that scared of the ball. Then, his famous goal in the 91' minute was maybe the greatest moment ever for the group of us that were there. Landon Donovan quickly became one of my favorite athletes ever. That memory will never fade away.

Non-Landon game notes:

I liked Garza. His ten years with the US since U-14 was a pretty neat fact from the broadcast.

I feel bad for Bobby Wood. He is going to lose some sleep over that one. Hopefully, he will score one soon for the US to get over that a little. The only good thing about that miss was it kept the spotlight on the LegenD.

Guzan is good as shite. I feel like the US is permanently set at keeper.

Most of all, thanks for everything, Landon.
