I don't remember the name but when I was in Florence we did a wine tour out into the Tuscan countryside. It included a visit to two vineyards (one Chianti and one Chianti Classico) and a meal in Panzano at the famed "crazy butcher's" restaurant. It was a pretty awesome, the restaurant was fantastic. I believe it was through "Tuscan Wine Tours". Don't remember the price either.

that is what i'm looking at. it's a 4 day tour but will be like 1600 bucks and thought i could get cheaper than that. i'm tempted to just book it though because the reviews are awesome

This is Dario Cecchini is restaurant called Solociccia, meaning only meat. That place is a must visit.
I spent a few months in Florence a few years ago, but never did any planned tours. I would just take off to the country side on weekends to taste. A lot of the really old wine families also have tasting rooms in Florence.
