In other news, how is one of the following not the nationally televised game tonight:
Pittsburgh - Montreal
Detroit - Columbus
Or said another way, how in the f is Anaheim - Buffalo the national game tonight??
I mean I guess with Pittsburgh you are guaranteed 1m viewers a night and I can see the league overlooking the closet les habitants fans in the US.
Bob is back and Should be a good game too. WTF is wrong with the folks at NBC Sports?

The NHL on TV (or not on TV) is a problem. It's one of the main reasons people just aren't into hockey.
Once ESPN dropped Hockey, the league hasn't been able to match the revenue that they were bringing in since (I don't think.)
I mean for crying out loud, the NHL NETWORK...a channel devoted to nothing but the NHL...airs one...maybe two games a week.
Center Ice is affordable compared to the NFL plan, but casual viewers aren't gonna fork that out.
I just don't get how you're supposed to build interest in the sport without making a legit effort to get more games on tv
