From my googling, it has to be a grounding issue. Any idea on how to fix it?

Just connect a wire from the ground post on the turntable to the ground post of your amp/receiver.

Probably my most prized record to date. Got it for super cheap.

Is the sound there even when you're not playing a record?
Posted on 3/31/15 at 5:45 pm to BigOrangeBri
I tried that and didn't hear anything

Spend the extra $$ on a ProJect Debut 3 and thank me later. The cartridge alone is worth the change over.
It is also a heavier table and thus will dampen vibrations better.
You can get them for $350 if you just haggle a little bit (Music Direct or Needle Doctor).

Wow! Looks like a great record capturing some legends in their prime.
I guess I will hunt a copy down here in N.O.
Thanks for the track listing!

If you're only hearing it while the record is playing then it's not a grounding problem.

1973- Capricorn Records
If you don't own this already, then get it tomorrow.

That is one of the greatest albums ever recorded--really.

Yep. Queen of Hearts gets me every time. The pain of losing his brother paints the entire album.
