Just purchased the Audio Technica AT LPT 120 for $220 shipped on Amazon. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. And Bob Marley's Legend is my first LP purchase.

I will be a new regular contributor

Thanks for the advice everyone

It's so damn good.

I picked up the Rush 2112 reissue today. Bob Dylan blood on the tracks, and a few others I'm excited about

Ryan Adams announced today that he is releasing a Live at Carnegie Hall Vinyl Box Set. It's available for pre order and will ship in April. I ordered mine. $99 and you get a shirt too. Solo show, not with his band. Kinda wish he would release a live album featuring the band. In due time I guess. Sorry I don't have a link but if you go to his FB page they have a link.

Second pressing going on sale tomorrow!!!

This is probably a retarded question, but what's the best way to hook up the turntable to a surround sound receiver?

You might be able to use my diagram in the OP to help. It is for a stereo receiver and may help out.

Just go out of your record player to your surround front ins. Then just go out to your speakers from the surround front outs.

If your turntable doesn't have a built in pre amp then you'll have to buy an external one. This will go in between your turntable and the receiver.

Just run it into any stereo line in (cd, DVD, aux) provided you are using an external phono pre amp.

Just hooked the bad boy up for the first time, sounds good, but I am getting a static sound throughout all of the speakers. Any idea what might be causing this?

Are you using a phono pre-amp?

Yeah, the technica has one built in. It's like a very slight static sound

Are you getting it even if there's not a record playing?
