I saw them at the Ryman here in Nashville a few months ago. Are they still performing the two albums in their entirety?

What are some audiophile quality press companies you purchase from? I'm obviously familiar with the MoFi Labs records, but don't know any other than that.

The best ever went under--it was called Classic Records. The went under about 3 years ago, but their recordings and pressings were second to none.

Just search for Led Zeppelin on Classic Records---even after the re-re-release of the library, the Classic Records versions done 8 years ago still sell for $250 an album.

The AcousTec stuff is also top notch.

I'll look at my stash and get you a few more--I can't think of them all right now.

If you like YES, I can't recommend enough the Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, and Howe album from around 1988 or 1989. They went by that name because Chris Squire owned the rights to the name YES and they were all bickering at that point in time.

The album has no title and it is the only one they put out under that name. It is a fantastic record beginning to end. I have it, but only on CD format.

I would probably put it in my "all time top 10/take to a desert island" albums (along with Days of Future Passed--Moody Blues).

Picked up The Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely LP yesterday. I already liked this album a lot, I'm a big fan of Jack White and nearly everything he does, but this album sounds really really good on vinyl. Highly recommend.

Finally fixed the static through the speakers. Now I'm just getting a pop here and there coming through the speakers. I've read this is static from the record. What's the best way to get rid of it?

It's hard to get rid of static 100% but a non static brush helps out. I have the basic one made by audio quest and it helps a lot.

You can wash your records or buy a washer, but they are expensive.

Or you can put them in your dishwasher... LINK

Damn son, that is high praise. It will go to the top of my " records I want" list.

What you're hearing is dust in the grooves. You can buy a cleaner or just use a sponge in warm water with a tiny drop of soap. With the damp sponge, just go around the record and follow the grooves. After that rinse it well, then dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.

Surprised Josey is #1. it is a very good record store, but although it had a great selection, i found it to be too unorganized. I prefer Good Records because they constantly organize their LP's in alphabetical order and they are pretty accurate.

However, Josie had a bunch of great turntables for sale, especially intro tables.

I'm going to buy one of those and a record cleaning machine if I can keep myself from buying records for a couple of weeks.

For the folks still posting in this thread....if you had to chose one single LP to call your favorite, which one would it be?
