Hijack: Lost that job right out of college due to background check. While there are all these great minds gathered does anyone know if there is a way XOM could see items that have been expunged?
Probably. I know a few people who worked for XOM and none of them liked it. All jumped ship after a year or so.

If anyone will, it would be XOM, wound very tight over there.

Yea I have had an interview like that, luckily I have had enough experience where I had something to tell them without struggling to much. The coworker one though is tough bc there is only one answer they really want to hear.
I am worried about that as well, mine is suppose to be expunged and I went online and paid to look at my driving record and it wasnt on there but I am still pretty nervous.

They are called behavioral interviews and you would be shocked how bad people can F them up.

Nailed it. They're looking for certain personality types. Most of us in the field have the same personality. At least in my experience.

Production or drilling side? Talked to a few Co Men about them including a couple that used to work for XOM. Not one of the highest paying but extensive training program and great benefits especially if you make 25yrs.
Drilling side. Co. Men.

WFT did a pretty extensive background and health check on me but I was applying for an international position so I think they are more stringent.
The two big blue's and big red will look pretty deep and you will have to submit to a hair follicle test with those three. I only had to do a urinalysis for WFT. It was actually pretty funny. Because I was taking an overseas assignment I had to arrange for all my own physicals and drug screening. I asked the girl at the lab "so since I'm having to do my own drug screen, if I fail it can I just come back and do another?" She said "yep".

They will definitely check for those too.

I look at that question as a catch 22. They want to see that you can resolve an issue without a higher ups intervention but the solution also had to be a safe one and follow procedure and yadayada.

And it is a deal breaker from what I understand. ?
DWI
At least I know it has been in the past for me.

DWI will be if they are providing you with a company vehicle (which most do). I think it was a deal breaker for my current job even though I have a driver.
