I used to grab a medium roast and a bagel and slam that with some adderal.
I'd wait for it to kick in while I read, then I'd head to class on a learning rampage fueled with caffeine, amphetamines, and cream cheese.

Plus they had a lot of foreign tail there that was fun to stare at.

Totally agree. You've got every right The landlord does to spend your money as you see fit.

This is horrible I hope this new business gets no business. That area will never be the same without highland coffees in that location.

It may feel that way now.

When The Bayou burned, I felt that way about north gate.
People will forget it. It's not a big deal to lose a coffee shop.

The Bayou was a big deal though. Huge.

If it was a chain I get what your saying, but not this coffee shop. This one is special and has a special place in the heart of many tigers.

I never went there in all my years at lsu nor did I ever really hear of anyone going. Don't compare a coffee shop with the chimes.

I hear it will be a Walk Ons "half court" concept bar/restaurant. Then they'll have campus surrounded and their next conquest will be the Union.

Has everyone seen this article. I find it extremely interesting that one of the owners of Community Coffee is forcing Highland Coffees to shut down. Looks to me like Goliath is hammering David.

It's a Red Shtick article, so sarcasm prevails.

There are 3,500 signatures on the petition…. If 3,500 people go to Highland Coffees once a week and spend $5.00 per visit, that equates to $70,000 per month or $840,000 per year.

The space is 3,000 sf and market rent should be approx. $20-22/ft. That is rent of $60,000 - $66,000 per year.

Ask anyone in commercial real estate.... if there is that much support, then there is no way they Highland Coffees cannot pay market rent.

Petition now up to 4,000. Please add $120,000 in gross income to the business if the added 500 people on the petition visit HC once a week and spend $5.00 per visit.

And if you ask that same person in commercial real estate, it doesn't matter what the tenant wants to pay if the landlord desires a new concept in the space.
