Village East was a good neighborhood in the 80s to early 90s. We had fist fights but it never went beyond that. Some of my very best friends from then were AA. Sad the place to turned to shite.
Started to go to shite in the early 80's.

Speaking Of houma, I got a bad feeling about all these "luxury apartments" that are being built on the westside. They are cheap construction and I think today's luxury apartments will be tomorrow's section 8 housing. all that property behind MLK between 311 could have been put to much better use. It seems to me the landowners and developers or just grabbing money and 10 15 years from now it's going to come back to bite the whole town in the arse.

They are about to build more section 8 housing in Raceland off of 182. I live on the outskirts of town but am starting to think I need to find some property in bum frick Egypt.

That's any apartment complex almost anywhere. After 20 years they are old then the scum moves in. That's what worries me about the ones on 311 close to the nice neighborhoods

I'm thinking Bay St Louis.

Yeah. I'll agree with that.

One can't take the actions of a teenager lightly either. Look at what we found out yesterday about the 16 year old juveniles that murdered the Domino's pizza delivery driver in NOLA over the weekend.

You in Sugarwood? Can I borrow some money?

It's not that expensive

Live in that ever changing elevated mobile home off of 311...the big lot with the purple bridge and it looks like Dubois' Nursery threw up all over their yard. Draw your own conclusions.

Meh, everywhere turns into a shithole after a while. Ellendale is even going downhill

There are a couple of suspect houses, but for the most part it's still a very wealthy neighborhood...it's just old and is full of old people. I don't ever see it going to complete crap, know a lot of people who live back there and my family lives like 5 minutes from there.

Yeah, Barios and that area were the nice area in Houma at one point. It's always going to shift around. Houma just doesn't have that much land to keep expanding

State Trooper on WWL just said the teen had a weapon when he was shot. Family said kid was a good boy who would never even touch a BB gun.

The back of Barios is probably one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Houma
Ever driven back there? Toward the Intracoastal...and even toward the front (along old Hwy 90) but closer to Barrow. Very nice houses. Lisa Park was once a very nice area...it's still not really bad...but it's nowhere I'd want to live.
