It's ok to be that size if you have OBJ's athleticism. Quinn obviously does not. Stop comparing the two.

This just might be the worst observation and dumbest fricking thread I have seen all week. Thanks for the memories...

He's two inches taller, ten pounds heavier, and faster than Skyler Green.

I guess you're right though.

It could be the camera angles but the plays he is involved in he does appear smaller than other players.

????????

All Melvin did was compare their size, which was accurate. Trey is exactly 6 ft barefoot and around 195 lbs. Why so sensitive? Look, we all love OBJ and his legacy will live on, get over it. You want to hate on another Tiger to make your point, odd, but go ahead.

OBJ is OBJ, Jarvis is Jarvis, let's let these guys be themselves.

I for one would wait longer than four games into somebody's career before rushing to these judgements about what a guy can or cannot do, and I would also let him get some touches in open space before I would make some of the comments you have made. But hey, what do I know.

And all I'm doing is making observations as well. I think Quinn is too small and not athletic enough to use him the way we are doing. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to start or is not going to be a valuable contributor to our team.

If he was black you wouldn't say that. D bowe, Clayton, R robinson, and ODB all looked frail. Not to mention Holliday..

And I know Sykler personally and he is 5'8 1/2 at best. But u can't compare Sykler to quinn. Skyler was wr built like a rb.

I understand. I think what happened was that he has shown some things in practices and scrimmages day in and day out that have led to these decisions. It has been hard to really gauge the spectrum of their talents based on a fraction of what we as fans have seen so far. I feel the same way about Leonard, I think he is as good as advertised and his better days are ahead of him, and the more touches he gets with more space to move the better it will be!

Why do you keep saying he's not athletic? He's probably the fastest or second fastest WR on the team. Stop.

Not to mention an unreal vertical.

Nobody compared the 2

You said you think Quinn is too small out there, and someone was just poining out he and OBJ are very similar in terms of stature. Chillax bro.

And you are underselling Quinns athleticism. Im not saying hes on OBJs level or whatever, but hes still a great athlete. Listed at 6'0 194lbs, has been clocked laser timed at a 4.39 in the 40, ran a 10.4 100m in track, can throw it down on the basketball court. Oh and Moffit has said Quinn was pushing 22mph during the summer, which was faster than OBJ.

Its not Quinns size or athleticism thats an issue. Hes a freshman and looks somewhat tentative out there. He didnt look like that vs Wisconsin, he looked very comfortable out there. But in his 1st SEC game, he looked a little tentative and it was a little too fast for him out there. Thats ok, its to be expected from true freshman IMO. They all are going to make mistakes and look a bit hesitant out there early on. But that will also help them get comfortabe and acclimataed out there much quicker.

Hes def not too small and he is plenty athetlic enough to make plays for us. Hes going to be great for us.

Oh and you do realize that Dural is the WR that ran the reverse this past weekend, not Quinn? Quinn only has 2 carries for 11 yards this season, 1 vs Wisky and 1 vs ULM. Not that bad on his carries either. And Quinn is our slot / inside WR, and that is typically who gets the ball on those jailbreak / middle screeens. Miss St did a really good job against that screen, and it still went for a 5yd gain.

And how many screen passes has Quinn actually had? 3? Its not like hes getting 5 screen plays a game.
