Can we just admit that MSU might be really good?

Dak Prescott is as good of a QB LSU will face in the SEC this year. Their defense is probably better than Auburn's, A&M, Arkansas. Just as good as Ole Miss' and maybe better. They've got a good D Coordinator and lots of JR and SR in their 2 deep.

Point is that losing to them this year isn't like losing to them in previous years and doesn't mean that LSU will go 4-8 because they lost to MSU. Think about it who can easily beat them if they play like that on offense. Look at their schedule and tell me who is a better QB that they will match up against. Kenny Hill at A&M better passer probably.

Miss State will go 8-4. Other teams will actually attempt to take advantage of their weaknesses on defense.

They are a 9 win team at best. Their defense struggled against inferior opponents all year

I'd be surprised to See MSU finish higher than 4th or 5th in the west. They have some nice pieces but after watching other games they don't look better than Alabama, Texas AtM or Ole Miss and probably Auburn as well. I think people are correct to sense that not just the loss but the manner in which it occurred reflects concerns about the rest of LSU's schedule.

Frankly I expect them to continue to do well, even if they lose, I don't think they lose looking bad, like we did

They're definitely good, but they aren't great. They will, most likely, finish 5th in the west behind bama, AU, aTm, and OM.

This LSU team will likely lose 4 games. So, MSU is improved. LSU has dropped off more. Defense is the same as last year and the offense is worse.

No. That can never be done by LSU fan. LSU fan sees it as a great opportunity to bash the LSU players and coaches. They take is a great opportunity to discuss how the program is spiraling downward out of control and how we need to fire our coach. No credit will ever be given to the other team for just beating the shite out of us, even when the majority of people pegged us as a 4 loss team heading into the season.

who knows how good they are. they've only really beaten LSU who very well could be the worst team in the west.

MSU has a great front 7 but their secondary SUCKS. The reason our offense looked bad is because Jennings had a very bad night. He decided before the snap who to throw it to, he didn't throw to WIDE OPEN receivers, he had a lot of inaccurate throws.

Jennings likes to throw the ball deep because it worked in the first two games, but he if threw it to his check downs he would have done a lot better.

If Jennings or Harris start to go through their progressions our offense will get a lot better.

MSU could stack the box with 8 or 9 because they didn't believe Jennings could beat them, and they were correct. The success of our offense comes down to the QB play. If the team we play don't believe we can throw it, they will play the run every play.

They have a really good offense. We'll see how "really good" they are against teams with defense! obviously we dont have any

They will lose to Bama, Auburn, A&M, and Ole Miss. This wasn't a good loss, no matter how you try to spin it.

They might be very good, but there are likely at least 4 teams better in the West alone.

That's not good enough for LSU.

Their secondary is the only weakness. I was talking about them before the season about how they are one of the most experienced teams in the country.

They brought back 8 on defense if I remember. They brought back every WR except for one, and they brought back the RBs minus Perkins, Dak, and most of OL. I think about 16-17 total starters.

Thing is, if Dak stays, they'll bring back about 13 of these guys next year, plus whoever replaced the 2013 starters.

Then that recruiting class is getting better by the day, and is loaded on defense. MSU will not be a gimme for the foreseeable future
