If you're being sarcastic, you're doing it really well because I can't tell if you're being sarcastic.

If you aren't being sarcastic, then

We've had many wins in spite of coaching decisions. Last night things just came to a head and popped lol.

Les has outcoached his opponent in a few occasions, but last night adds to the even larger list of times where he's made himself look foolish

I'm not being sarcastic. I showed this site to some buds about two years ago and we decided to have some fun with it.
It's high comedy.

To be fair, Miles has out coached the opponent several times in his tenure.

In fact, I strong case can be made that he out coached Saban in every (regular season) game from 2009-2011, even the loss.

That said, one thing is clear. Since JL in 2008, MIles refuses to trust a young, inexperienced QB. One one hand, that's fine, but he limits the playbook in such a way that even people who have never played or coached know exactly what play LSU will run more often than not.

In the past, we had the talent, especially on the offensive line, to overcome that and still win most games.

That is not the case this year.

Hopefully Miles will look at yesterday's games realize that approach doesn't work anymore and open up the offense. Yes, whichever Qb starts will make some mistakes, but it will give us a better chance of winning as well.

Sadly, I think we all know, that Miles will look at the close final score and thick that everything is fine.

So according to some of you, Les deserves all the credit when we win and none of the blame when we lose. You're fine just excusing it with "youth".

Les is not the worst coach in the world. I think he's a genuine recruiter and coach, but he is horrible at strategy overall.

Our recruiting has been pulling in great talent, but often that talent doesn't fit the schemes we want to run, which blows my mind. We are continually short-handed at the QB position, and the defensive players have continued to show a lack of development.

It isn't rocket science to see that the loss of certain position coaches has led to development issues on this team.

Let's see:

DBs have regressed significantly since Cooper left. We replace him with Raymond, who has the best performance from the players he has coached the least amount of time. The only player that has bucked this trend is Collins this year.

Joe Robinson leaves as special teams coach, and while special teams under MacGaughey stayed very solid, we lost Robinson's help on the DL which has gotten worse every year since 2011.

OL isn't horrible but wasn't improving under Studrawa, but his replacement takes an experienced-laden line and makes them worse.

Special teams this year has been overall a joke under Peveto who returns after getting fired from killing an FCS program to replace McGaughey.

In the end, when his assistants are top notch technicians, and he continually doesn't land players that fit his system in key positions, this is what happens.

one game he clearly out coached another coach was the Alabama game in Tuscalousa in 2011 (11/5/2011) against Saban. Out manned and playing in Tusculusa. Miles somehow was able to squeeze out a victory in Tuscalousa , without a good QB and against a team that had had 4 straight #1 recruiting classes. While Miles isn't the greatest recruiter (although that is starting to trend upwards), He does manage to develop players and get results on the field.

I don't really think Miles got out coached last night, it was more a great QB and more physical line play that kicked our arse. Also was late to see what a talent he has in Harris (true freshman at QB), but I think most coaches would have made that mistake also.

Not even close to making the final round. You need to try harder if you want to be included. I am getting a little disappointed at today's offerings. The Sunday posts are generally way better. Give it another go, ok?

No he got out coached.

Our game plan, especially on offense, played right into their strength and completely ignored their biggest weakness.

I mean, look at Bama yesterday and how they attacked from play ONE.

We came out and ran 3 straight times up the middle against an 8-9 man front and one of the best d-lines in the SEC.

It was just a stupid game plan all around, so don't act like Miles didn't get schooled last night.

what about Mills, he has made great progress.

some of that experience is over rated and they have been slow in the necessary changes. Vadel Alexander has been vastly overrated and I have notice that last season as well. He could be replace with Washington or Fanaika. Porter is another weak link at center but I'm not sure we have a better replacement at this time.

well that was stupid and I have said that for years. It's Miles one weakness. But he was quicker to get away from it last night than I expected. ULM was a wasted game also, when we could have worked out some of these problems with the passing game against them also. Didn't look like a coaching problem last night, we did try to spread the ball, looked more like we ran into a more physical team.

What do you mean "can't get a grip"? My OP had no emotion tied to it AT ALL.

Commenting and getting opinions on a coach's in game strategic abilities is "shitty"? Isn't that a big reason forums like this exist?

His philosophy is to run first and that hasn't changed!he gambles with trick plays.it isn't pretty but it works a lot .he is averaging over 10 wins a year in 10 seasons.he said last night they misfired on both sides of the ball, they will fix it.we have an elite program and all people do is complain.les miles is who we got and there isn't one available out there that's better so deal with it.

In his first year of rebuilding projects. I love how some of you love to throw those games out, yet ignore the context to try and defend Miles somehow. Notice that those only happened in his first years at the respective programs.

And last year he shite the bed against Auburn, losing to an athletically inferior team costing his team a shot at the Natl Championship. Then followed it up by shitting the bed in a BCS game against another athletically inferior opponent. Any explanation?
