quote:
I would rather LSU not hand out tickets to corporations and boosters who only have a fleeting interest in LSU. These people are fed with silver spoons and the only reason they come to the game is to act as if they wield some imaginary power over the affairs of LSU whilst laughing at us proletariat.
He who pays the piper calls the tune.
It is corporations and boosters that are bankrolling the Tiger Athletic Foundation, which makes improvements to the football program, which leads to great recruits and coaches coming to LSU. And the power they wield is not imaginary, it's what sustains the program.
The voice of regular fans matter too, especially the ones paying for season tickets, because that's the financial base of any college football program, but you can't pretend that these corporations and boosters haven't earned free tickets and some deference. They in large part have helped the program become successful, and the surest way to harm the program is to ignore them.

I left early because I was tired of watching Jennings run out over and over and seeing us in the stupid power i. I also can only take watching an arse beating for so long

Also, on the music, they're obviously trying to appeal to everyone attending the games. I'm not a big fan of rap, but the reality is that a lot of younger people like it. Me personally, I'm happy with the band and just a little piped-in music, but I understand they're trying to touch everyone's musical preferences in the stadium.

If LSU fell into another Curley Hallman era, some of you guys would cut your own throats. But most people wouldn't care.
