He was actually a pretty good soccer player as well as a kicker and I remember watching him in HS play for Trinity here in Louisville (one of the top teams in the state). He was always one of those athletes that came out of here that you never heard anything but complimentary things about. Really unfortunate and so sad for his family.

Damn that's terrible. RIP and prayers to his loved ones

Awful news
Definitely one of the more underrated kickers of the past decade.
Prayers to his family

RIP. I remember his 60 yarder to beat the Colts.
After a Vegas all-nighter, made it back to the Hilton. Trying to right a hangover with some bad food by the sports book, I watched him kick that from the logo. Great moment for him.
Fan favorite in Nashville. RIP

One mile from his house
I remember reading some statistics about this several years ago. Makes sense when you think about it. You generally drive within a few miles of home at least twice a day for probably 5 or 6 out of every 7 days.
And when you think of people you know that have died in vehicle accidents, most of them have been fairly close to their homes.
Condolences to the family and RIP.

I had the opportunity to hang with Rob one evening in Denver a few months ago. A co-worker of mine was best friends' with him and he came out to a Rockies game and then a night on the town with us. He was such a down to earth dude and this was tragic to hear this morning.
I hope everyone hugs their loved ones a little tighter tonight. This is a crappy reminder that every second we have on this earth shouldn't be taken for granted.
