Churra's in Kenner review

Yesterday, I attended the glorious CLE at the Pontchartrain Center. I was bored out of my mind and wasted the whole fricking day. I did get a half hour in prepping for arguments this morning.
At the suggestion of Tigerwise, I went to Churra's for lunch. It was about .4 miles away. It's in a strip mall and doesn't look fancy.
The inside was nothing impressive either.
They had a buffet or pay by the lb "to go." The buffet was $18, and I'm not sure if it came with a drink. I'm not much of a buffet guy, so I got mine to go. I thought $18 for lunch was a bit excessive for Kenner.
I got several meats. Two chickens, two beefs, 1 pork, and 1 sausage. I'm cutting back on carbs.
Here's the filet. It was overcooked, but still juicy and full of flavor.
Here's the chicken. It was the winner of the box. It was extremely moist for white meat, and the bacon wrap complimented the flavor of the spices. The chicken thigh was also intense in flavor.
After doing some research, it appears they have jacked their prices up considerably. I'm not sure when this pic was taken.
If I'm around the center again, I will stop in. No way I'm driving from NOLA. 5.8/10

Damn those prices are ridiculous but I guess that north Kenner clientele can afford it.

That looks just like all the food I had in Brazil this summer. Which I would probably describe as a 3/10.

I ate there once. It was ok, I am also trying to go low carb. I ate in and their air conditioning sucks, might be b/c of the grill, but it was uncomfortably warm. It may be their strategy to get you to leave and not go to the buffet a hundred times.

My wife was at the CLE and she went to Churra's with some friends for lunch too, but they ate in the restaurant. We had already been to Churra's once the first week it opened and once about 3 months ago.
The first time for me 75% of the meats were well prepared and flavored, while the other 25% were overcooked. Everything was decent and the price was reasonable. I was overall pleased with the meal. Nothing I would seek out, but would go back at that point.
The next time I went maybe 15-20% of the meat was okay and 80-85% was way overcooked with 50% barely edible. They had also raised the price considerably. I said I was not going back.
My wife said yesterday was pretty bad as well. Service was poor, the majority of the meat was significantly overcooked, they did not have items (grilled pineapple and some meats)and they raised prices again.
I think there are simply better options out that way.
