This is what good teams do, what did you want? They were never going to dominate the game but they went on the road and beat a physical team.

Kansas State looked pretty good. Their kicking game was atrocious though.

Because KSU left like 37 points on the field.

Not barely squeak out a win while the other team is essentially doing everything they can to lose it?

I don't think Auburn is terrible, I just wasn't impressed with them. Didn't feel like a top 5 team to me.

Yeah but that's how Auburn wins. 2010, last year... They didn't dominate like typical NC teams. They have luck on their side.

K St misses three field goals, AU misses three TDs and we are the lucky ones? Interesting.

Only an Auburn fan would - and trust me, some of them do - say otherwise.

So did the line close at 7 points?

Ehh. I predicted Auburn as a 3-4 loss team. Still stand by that after seeing them in their toughest test so far. The offense struggled but they eventually wore Kstate down in the 2nd half with the running. Good luck trying that against teams that have depth.

Eh. I think K-State is a 3 or 4 loss team in conference.

Losses @OU, @WVU, and @Baylor. Then lose one other they shouldn't lose.

They have a very bland offense and a terrible secondary. I was impressed how they performed up front, but overall I wasn't too impressed.

I don't think Auburn is the best team in the SEC anymore.

But to be honest, I don't know who is. Literally every team has question marks. I really like Alabama's offense, but their defense still has a ton of questions in the secondary. They don't have a ton of speed either, so that makes me really worried about their ability to defend A&M. And Auburn for that matter.

I want to call Alabama the best team in the conference, but I don't know if I can do that right now. It really is unclear at this point.

I don't think any team has separated themselves from the pack. Bama's secondary appears suspect (though its early) and Sims hasn't proven he can carry them. I think the SEC is full of good teams this year capable of knocking each other off, but no 1 great team like we're used to seeing.

He hasn't. But I really have been pretty impressed with him. He's fast. That's an element of an Alabama QB we aren't used to seeing. Of course, they haven't really played any great defenses (WVU was decent), but still.

I was really high on Auburn until tonight. I thought they were the best team in the country. I also thought they would lose 2 games, but that's just because their schedule was so hard.

But I saw a lot of bad things tonight. We will have to see how they rebound against LSU.

It is really wide open and there are no easy games in the West. Auburn could lose at State. LSU could lose at Arkansas. Actually, I'd say one of those two will happen at this point.

Auburn's schedule is too hard for them to win the West, IMO. I've said all along that if LSU wins at Auburn, they'll win the West. If not, I'd favor Alabama. Either way, I think the West winner ends up with 2 losses in conference.

Auburn does have the tie-breaker advantage, though, if it comes to that.

I should say to be fair, he hasn't had to. He's capably done what they've asked him to. Bama should be able to rely on defense and the running game for the most part but its likely they'll need the QB to carry them against an SEC defense at some point. Can he do that? That's what I'm interested to see against Florida this weekend.

LSU has similar question marks. I want to say the defense is stout and then some but I'll hold off until we see them against a complete offense on Saturday. My concern is with Jennings. I'm quite nervous about him facing SEC defense. I consider it a shame that the staff didn't take the opportunity to work on more short passing against SHSU and ULM. We'll only be able to hide the QB position for so long.

Overall I'd say this is the most balanced the SEC has been in a few years. Although the West is carrying the Easts weight.

You didn't miss 3 TDa LMAO.

KSU missed 3 FG and dropped an easy TD. Plus gave Auburn its first 3.

Dropped 3 TDs

Truer words have never been spoken.

I think our offense will show they aren't as bad as they looked last night throughout this year, but there are definitely some areas of concern. Just really a poor showing on that side of the ball from play calling to execution to just flat getting whipped in the trenches for the first half.
