To answer your question, yes, it's purely for looks. Do we really need a dumb thread to point out the obvious? I personally don't like the factory rake or factory tires. My leveling kit was about $60 and it rides the exact same as stock. We're talking 2" here bub, c'mon.

Does that come with fender vents, or do you buy those separate?

I had to give it a second glance because at first I thought it was a friend's truck. Guy bought a 2wd Lariat F150. When I was at his house last week it now sports a leveling kit, 33's and a FX4 bed sticker.

Yeah, in the 1800's. If you like your techni-colored 1911, that's great. But don't act like you did that for practical purposes. I have no problem with it, I think it looks fine. Just like I think a 2wd with 35's looks fine. Your money, do what you want with it.

Color case hardening doesn't negatively affect performance and durability. Leveling does.

Blocks yes - suspension/proper control arms to realign geometry doesn't.

And none of that is happening with a cheap leveling kit.

I can't imagine doing dumb shite like that. I guess it's because I actually have a 4x4.

That's for a different thread, but you're a good man for that.

This. People worry about how other men spend their money way to much these days.

Honestly, he bought an F-150. A leveling kit is the least of his worries.

I have stickers that I haven't gotten around to removing. I think I'll do that tomorrow.
