Awareness fixes all problems. Kind of like how sports teams spend thousands on pink uniforms and hats and sweat bands and cured breast cancer without spending a dime on treatment or research...oh wait...

Awareness of this issue ABSOLUTELY helps. While people are aware of breast cancer and ALS and such there's not much to do short of donating to research of those causes.

Awareness of sex trafficking is huge. The more people are aware of it the more they can know how to spot it. People could be more aware of signs of trafficking, report suspicious activity to the authorities, and maybe save someone's life. If that just happens ONE time, it's worth it.

fricked up people will still want to have sex with children, and that will cause the market in child sex slaves to remain.

but that's a small portion of the sex trafficking industry that we can't really combat too well regardless

the vast majority of "sex trafficking" is your rub and tug joints or stripper-prostitute combos. fully adult stuff

I'm thinking the sign isn't for the traffickers themselves, but moreso for the women being trafficked. Kind of like saying if you've been sexually abused, speak up about it, because that treatment is not ok.

billboard in BR

Dunno if it's still there, but there used to be a billboard on Florida Blvd.

Something like "Thinking of torching your car? Insurance fraud is a wrong!"

Never woulda considered doing that before, but seeing that sign made a small part of me wonder...

This as well. Awareness does more for this issue than others, despite what a lot of the asshats in this thread would have you believe.

Also isn't it considered sex trafficking if a pimp brings his lady to someones house and they get busted?
