Yup, my dad used to take me and my friends in the early 90s. I remember being 5-6 most years, spraying silly string on the opposing fans, and wishing I was in the student section. They were always cursing the ref. I was around 10.

I remember in the mid 90's just hoping to crack the top 25. I don't know if it was 95 or 96 but i remember when I first saw LSU in the rankings and I couldn't believe it. I was so excited just to be mentioned with the big dogs of the time.

Listening to John Ferguson & Walter Hill do the games on Saturday night in the early '70s in CO. My lovely wife of 40+ years still married me.

Youth tickets in the SW upper deck

Got in on the youth tickets also. They were $2.50 each.

You must also remember Big Red in the NE corner of the stadium. Could hear that voice across the stadium.

PA announcer, Sid Crocker, calling Dr. numbers to contact medical exchange.

Letters LSU were painted across the south end zone lower section bleachers. One game each season was designated as band night where HS bands would sit in SEZ lower section.

Shoulder stripe inserts on LSU jerseys went completely around the jersey.

The days gone by.

When I grew up, my parents had four season tickets in the lower section, west side toward the southern 25 yard line. Their tickets were just under the covering of the next section up. It literally never rained in tiger stadium.
I remember my older brother rushing the field when we beat Archie Who. I remember him kissing Tommy Casanova. (He had had quite a few and HATED Archie Manning.
It was 1970 LSU 61 Ole Miss 17

Then... I graduated high school, got a full academic to LSU and danced for Tiger Band. Went to every home and away game. SOBER and actually WATCHED THE GAME!

I know every word to all the verses of the Alma Mater. My blood runs purple and gold.
When my dad's cardiologist told him "No more LSU football, I thought his heart actually broke." They literally were cardiac Tigers to him.
So many wonderful memories tied up in that place.
Not just a team. MY team. Win. Lose or draw.
I, however, prefer WIN.

Watching my older brother file in TS with the frosh in pj's the first game early 60's and JF call on WWL Sat nights, riding up with parents to games and stopping to pick up sugar cane on 61 then down old windy Highland road to stadium. Oh yeah, took the train 1 time from downtown to drop off behind old A Box and people sliding off that train there already smashed from the ride up
Those days!

After the 03 championship at school the next day, I was really confused as to why not many other people were really excited.

Remember my dad and some of his buddies would charter a Trailways bus for all the people from town who would go to the games. I also remember all the men having "liquor briefcases" that they would bring to the game, basically a small case that held a fifth on one side & jiggers etc on the other; those were the days when you could BRING alcohol into the stadium-hence the need for chartering a Trailways bus. I remember having to wear your "church clothes" to the games, no such thing as tshirts & shorts. I remember playing Tulane & it actually meant something. I remember Choy Mac. I remember Big Red's voice booming down from the stands chanting: TIIIIIGER BAIT TIIIIIGER BAIT. I remember listening to the games on the radio. I remember John Ferguson's voice over the PA system. We sat in the East side back in those days & I remember my Dad walking me down to the fence by the visitor's locker room & talking to Bear Bryant. I remember tuning the buttons on the VCR to descramble Tigervision games. I remember going to the first game after the west upper deck & then the east upper deck were completed. I remember the "night it rained oranges". I remember the earthquake game. I remember hating alabama & I remember when Cholly Mac "finally" best the Bear.

I remember when the game wasn't on tv and you listened to it on the radio, there were sometimes replay shows the next morning which showed extended highlights. And, I think, some commentary from coaches.

Rushing the field after beating UF in '97, UT in 2000 and Auburn in 2001 to clinch a spot in the SECCG. I also remember free parking on campus.

favorite memory would be being about 8 years old and going on the field after the florida game when they were number 1...I had a ziplock in my room with old rotten TS grass for about a decade from that game

I remember my first LSU game in Tiger Stadium, walking through the portal and looking down at the field all lit up and seeing how immense the stadium was and the crowd was rocking. I was in awe and just stood there for a while, soaking it all in. I've been hooked ever since.

On that same night we were heading home very late after the game was over (Tigers won!) on Highway 190 and my uncle couldn't stay awake. He kept running off the road and I thought he was going to kill us. We pulled into the parking lot of a Chevrolet dealer in Eunice to nap for a bit and were awakened by a police officer shining a light in our faces, knocking on the window and telling us to move along.

Going to the game as a kid in the 70's. We'd tailgate all afternnon, play pick-up football games with other kids at Bernie Moore. That awful carpet (turf) was the coolest thing in the world to us. Loved watching Terry Robiskie run the ball! Remember my Dad cursing Chalie Mack like there was no tomorrow.

I remember being in the student section as Skylar Green hauled in Mauck's pass, only moments after Georgia had scored and the entire stadium had chanted LSU for 10 minutes.

Saw that one on TV. I think that's the most impressive I've ever seen the Tiger Stadium crowd and atmosphere.

Yea, I was a senior in high school and got to sit in the student section with 8 of my friends for free because i knew the guy working the gate. They were alot less strict then obviously. THat crowd was the best. They refused to let the team lose. Chanting LSU after Georgia scored sent a message that we are here, we are not going away, and we will refuse to lose. Best crowd ever and best TS experience ever. It was our coming out party!
