I used ride bike behind them when I was a kid. As an adult I really question the wisdom of doing that now.

No.
They are a huge waste of money

The do a good job of killing all the lightning bugs, and giving councilman Billy Bob's cousin a job driving the truck.

My dad says he used to do this too.
God, people were fricking stupid in the 60's and 70's.

No, just a way for the city to make money.

I honestly can't see how they would.

Not since the ban of DDT.

We used to run behind the one in the Glades when I was a kid. And that smoke was probably 75% DDT back then.

I can't imagine they work to any degree.
Seems like the mist barely gets off of the street.
I see them driving around taking samples... someone has figured out how to make them LOOK productive.

Nothing like weaving in and out of that trail of fog. And every now and then that thing would backfire and we'd almost fall off our bikes. Ahhhhh the good old days.

West Nile was really bad in Louisiana 10 years ago. The number of cases is way down. I don't know if there's a connection, though.

I have a theory that they accidentally bought the wrong pesticide in NE Arkansas. All the fireflies are gone now, but mosquitoes are still there like a plague.
