I don't understand why AP gets to "learn from this" while the lives of Ray Rice and his now wife have been adversely affected forever though. That seems extremely unfair to me. The crimes were very similar yet Rice loses $20MM after tax and is a pariah.

I don't disagree with this. And, honestly, the NFL is loving these "morality clauses" so they can underpay players for even the most minor infractions. They even do it in college. McShay and Kiper can ruin a kid's chance at making money by saying painting the opponent's mascot raises "maturity issues".

I know. I got off topic. My b.

I came out disciplined, stable and successful. I also never caused any problems growing up.

More people need to discipline harshly. Get them kids right.

When my nephew goes to games and out with my publicly...I don't get any shite. Why? Because he know Uncle CR don't play. He is more disciplined and has a better time with me than he does with his own mother.

The "tree branch" was so thin, that it wrapped around to the other side while he was using it on the kid's arse. He didn't whip his balls on purpose.

its all nonsense.

I mean I got whoopings and I came out fine. But I also never bled from these either.

I'm not a parent yet, so I can't really speak to how you should discipline your child.

I think you'll be fine if your first rule of thumb is something like, "Don't beat your 4 year old toddler worse than most people would beat a stray dog."

that doesn't matter. he still whipped his balls.

Leaving marks on your child like htis is just not acceptable. It may have been acceptable in the past, but not now.

I got my fair share of whoppings, I turned out fine. But I can tell you my father and I are not besties in part to the way he treated me growing up.
