Places for recent college graduates to live in Los Angeles

My company has some offices in the LA area.
Beauna Park
South Gate
Riverside
Rancho Cucamonga
Pomona
Of these what would be a good area to live in for a commute to each place? Single male most likely finding roommates.

I could, but I'd rather keep rent at like 50% of my potential income. I want to be able to actually do things.
But yes, I'll be OT poor.

get a 2br place and advertise for a commuter roommate, lot's of airline domiciles there, you'd rarely see them

I wouldn't want to live around any of those areas as a recent grad. Not exactly exciting spots.

What spots would you tell someone to look at?

What are you looking to do out here and how close do you want to be to L.A.? Are the offices in those particlular cities and how do you feel about commuting? I would not commute to/from Riverside, Rancho or Pomona. I would not live in Buena Park or Southgate, but they would be easier commutes from L.A.
Pomona is in Orange County and that can be a bitch of a commute if you don't live in that area.

Start shipping water in and sell it to rich folks so they can have green grass

West side or South Bay

West LA, South bay, downtown, century city. Basically everything inland will be more suburban/family oriented
All of these areas will be extremely expensive though.

My list in the OP are the locations of each office. I do not mind a commute of an hour or less. I would like to be within 30-45 minutes of a beach if possible.
As far as how close to LA I do not know. As long as it has things to do and is a young community thats fine with me.
