I think we'll win this game something like 30-14 or 30-17.

Again, I LOVE your confidence. Where do you see our advantages? Do you really think they are that bad? Serious question.

its crazy that it is common knowledge in college football circles that miss st has a better front 7 than LSU
and still doesn't have the better defense
this= our secondary is freaggin sick

Hard to tell how good they are since they haven't played any team of quality to this point. The key will be our O-line v their D-line. I have faith in our D. Too many playmakers in the LSU D.

Not to mention, this State team has a lot of experience in the 2 deep.
LSU 2-3 deep everywhere with game experience, except QB on WR. Heck, even some of the backups are playing better than the projected starters. Our 4th string RB is one of our leading rushers.

Great post. Great analysis. Easy to read.

I think we win but this game will be closer than people think. If we blow them out then i'll be sold on this team.
27-20 LSU
27-20 LSU

State will win because they will control the line of scrimmage like they did in '09. They have the playmakers on offense this year to finish off a young LSU team.
LSU will win because the OLine will wake up and play up to their opponent and their own potential. Jennings will exploit a questionable secondary that is prone to miscommunicate and miss assignments even without the pressure of the SEC's most storied venue.

We win because we have depth in the last 1.5 quarters to over power them, and because our secondary is scary good.

For the first time I have to agree with you.

Analysis time.
LSU will win because..
1) LSU has better athletes from top to bottom even though St. has closed the gap.
2) Special teams has always been a leg that LSU stands on in big games. Whether it be a punt that changes field position, kick return, etc.
3) LSU will load the box to contain Dak and co and force him to throw on the highly talented DBs.
4) Travin Dural, Diarse, Quinn, and co will have a field day on the St. secondary which has been atrocious and ranked 118th in the country.
5) Hostile environment. Death Valley. Saturday night. It's going to be thumping.
Mississippi St will win because..
1) Dak has the game of his career. Dak will need to be damn near perfect for this game. No mistakes. He is the wild card in this game.
2) Miss St's DLine disrupts the LSU OLine enough to hold the LSU running game to under 150 yards forcing a young QB and WRs to win the game.
3) Overcoming adversity. MSU knows they are the underdog. MSU has heard all the stats. Every player on that team wants a victory to solidify their prominence this year.
That being said, I think MSU keeps it relatively close for three quarters. Maybe even middle of the fourth. But I think a late special teams/defense takeaway play swings all the momentum LSU's way to solidify the win for a 24-13 victory.

yes indeed.
They will test the Tigers in a very real way with strength and speed that they haven't seen yet this year but that is exactly what is needed in order to beat the first couple of actual SEC contenders that we will face soon enough.
With the next opponent being another scrimmage victim, the Tigers should be ready for the SEC when the time comes.

MSU will win because LSUs OL has couldn't dominate Wisconsin are ULM.
LSU will win because it's at home.
I think this maybe the year it happens:
MSU 27
LSU 17

I record every game, and have watched the OL closely. They are whiffing on blocks and can't pick up blitzes for shite. ULM got consistent pressure on our QBs all game long. Most people here just wanted puff out your chests and think it's MSU will win because we're LSU. We beat the shite out of two cupcakes period. MSU has a better QB and defensive line than Wisconsin. We should be able to throw on them if we can pass protect and run the ball early. After watching ULM stuff our backs for a half that is up for debate.

MSU gave up over 500 yds to UAB...at home. Don't act like we are the only team that has shite to work on
