Dupre was out quite a bit this fall and missed the first game due to injury. He also was not an early enrollee like Quinn so is very behind the curve.

Quinn is much more advanced right now, also came from an offense in high school who got the ball to him a lot, so he's much more used to being out there and part of the game.

he's also identified as gifted, which means he's smart as frick and can process information better than dupre (unless dupre was also identified as gifted or has other IQ information)

He's dropped one pass. If you count the Wisky drop then you don't know football.

Quinn is a slot player. Dupre is a wide-out (behind Diarse and Dural). If we go 4 Wide, Dupre will be in the game. I'm sure when SEC play comes around... we'll be throwing the fades to the 41in vert Dupre.

I think it's a slot thing. Plus we don't throw often to anyone who isn't the primary receiver. Then it's a QB scramble

I really don't understand how people just assume Dupre is going to be better based on the fact that he's taller and black. He's not faster, he's not a better route runner, (He played in a veer offense in high school) and he for damn sure doesn't have better hands. Tiger fans are so eager to place a label on Trey and call him a "slot guy". Do they not realize that he is only the slot receiver when we put more than one receiver on one side? He's lined up outside plenty of times.

I think is has more to do with him being the number one rated receiver out of high school that his height and race.

What do recruiting rankings have to do with anything. I honestly don't know how you can rank a receiver that plays in a veer offense number 1 in the country.

Both will be studs.

Dupre comes from a school where he did not run a lot of different routes.

Dupre most likely has better physical tools he is just learning a different type of game.

Quinn runs flawless routes. Has amazing hands. And is very fast.

Quinn can play slot & the outside...he had one drop last night.

Burt Reynolds is the most athletic poster on this board! He runs a 4.4 just like Quinn

Quinn makes sure our offensive players are lined up correctly.

Does Quinn get past the DBs? Get separation? He seems to be covered on quite a few throws. Tough catch situations.

Mentioned pregame yesterday that Quinn has impressed the coaches with his blocking ... that alone will get him on the field more.

Especially since Les will not open up the offense until he needs to......probably about the Ole Miss game.

Please don't tell me you count the one where Quinn comes back for the ball when Jennings threw it low in the dirt with pressure on him.
