Is Quinn just better than Dupre? Never see Dupre in until late in games. Seems like Quinn's always in there. Is it just a slot thing?

Today, yes. 2 years from now, probably not.

He knows the offense better than most of our wideouts

Dupre was out quite a bit this fall and missed the first game due to injury. He also was not an early enrollee like Quinn so is very behind the curve.

Quinn is much more advanced right now, also came from an offense in high school who got the ball to him a lot, so he's much more used to being out there and part of the game.

Dupre, regardless of the injury, was going to have to go through a tough adjustment period IMO. He is more physically gifted than Quinn (or possibly any WR we have), but Quinn is much more ready to play now...despite the drops last night which is completely uncharacteristic of him.

Quinn wasn't an early enrollee.

Mentioned pregame yesterday that Quinn has impressed the coaches with his blocking ... that alone will get him on the field more.

Rarely the case, but I cannot argue with any response on here.

I don't think that this is very fair to say. I know that it is a widely accepted mass opinion that Chi has a higher ceiling but that is really just because of Chi's height (and even race perception for some).

The reality is that Quinn has just as much speed, hands, strength as Chi but he is just three(or so) inches shorter and a little lighter.

The best comparison that I can think of is BeBe. That old dude always brought his lunch pail to the practice field and it showed in his stats every year.

At the same time, I have to admit that Chi very well might be stronger when his frame is filled out better. He will be able to handle press coverage a little better when the chips are down. This could get him into his routes more consistently than Quinn but I am really just reaching and Quinn might do very well against press in his junior year.

So saying that Chi will pass Quinn up in 2 years is not really the proper thing to say.

at this point Quinn is not as surehanded as I expected. He's had a couple of drops.

Quinn was not an early enrollee...

I counted one drop last night...on a ball where Jennings nearly got him killed!

They BOTH have a tremendous skill sets....it's hard to be patient. Hopefully the chemistry continues build with the QB's.

My mistake on Quinn being an early enrollee, but he is much more advanced than dupre is, mostly due to the high school offenses each played in and Dupre missing so much fall time.

Don't forget, with Quinn, you get a coach on the field.

Quinn was dropping passes yesterday.

He looked pretty bad. Quinn is just a better blocker than dupre.

This. It's his versatility that will get him on the field.
