I like it. For the first time there will not be a break in practice routine and emotion like there has been for the Friday and Saturday games against AR. IMO that has been a reason for the poor LSU performances against AR. LSU doesn't play the week before so getting the team ready should be much easier. I wish they played the game at LSU the same way.

Actually a part of the things that TX A&M wanted was that Thanksgiving Day Game against LSU so they could give U of TX the one finger salute. So the SEC told A&M they would give it to them as soon as possible.

Yep. My question is how much say did LSU have in the matter? Did we volunteer or were we coerced by the SEC head office?

I live in Houston, but my family is still in LA -- so I spend most holidays in LA -

I don't see any way to do both with a Thanksgiving night game.

I'd love to go -- but probably wouldn't choose going to the game over spending Thanksgiving with family.

Invite the family to Houston. Have a big mid day meal then head over to College Station.

You could do this every other year to accommodate the game.

I'm fine with it. It's funny how the same fans who wanted to replace Arkansas with Texas A&M are bitching about this.

As an A&M fan in college station, it made sense when playing Texas since Austin was 90 miles away. Everyone did their family meals at lunch and then jumped in the car for the night game.

If fans want to go to that road game in person now your entire Thanksgiving is shot with travel. You may even need to take off work Wednesday to travel. That is asking too much in my opinion and I go to most road games.

I have not seen many Aggie fans happy about it unless they do not actually go to the games.

Fine as long as it's a road game and doesn't take away an important open date earlier in the season.

Lotta LSU fans live close enough to college station to where this isn't true. I'll be doing my family thanksgiving about two hours away.

I don't know how much that would factor into your point, which is good, though.

Sucks. I will never go to a game in College station. My wife's family does not watch football. So I will miss the entire game those years.

Thanksgiving game is just stupid.

But isn't "tradition" more important than work and family and any of that other stuff?

Really though, you're right about Aggie fans getting screwed here. With so many LSU alum in the Houston area, LSU will be way better represented in College Station than Ags will be in BR.

The game with Arky always blew because they parade all of the seniors out pre-game and give their mamas or baby mamas roses. It is all mushy and teary eyed... And then..... it takes 3 quarters to pull their testosterone levels back up.

That is why we always played that game WAYYY tooo close.

It has nothing to do with rhythm of preparation.

Since I am a Cowboys fan, it gives me a game to watch on Thanksgiving again.

I live in Katy
I told my wife I am going to the game regardless. So she invited all of her family to our house for thanksgiving dinner

So we will eat at 11, the men will probably nap, we will pile in the car, drive to CS and watch the Tigers
