looked stupid. Was there even a compelling story there? WHo wants to see a movie about a football factory in california? What's next, the John Curtis story?

I thought it was pretty good. The Cameo Les Miles appearance was pretty cool and seeing Marlon Favorite playing full speed football in a movie was sweet too.
All of the football scenes were shot full speed with big hits unlike remember the titans.

The most factual aspect of that movie IMO........

Never understood why people love this movie - and some list it as their favorite sports movie of all time.

It's cheesy and cloying and pandering and manipulative and obvious as hell.

It's not even in my Top 5 of football movies. It's the Toy Story of sports movies. Great for kids...not so good for thinking adults.

A guy I know (former coworker) was in this movie as one of the refs. He had a speaking part as well (maybe 2 actually) so every couple months he still gets royalty checks for like 6 bucks.

What the WHAT!?

Toy Story is a legendary movie that stands the test of time and speaks to all ages. How dare you insinuate Toy Story is a bad movie by claiming it's "for kids." First, that doesn't make it a bad movie, even for "thinking adults," and second, you're incorrect. Toy Story is, perhaps, the greatest animated movie of all time and is certainly one of the best movies ever made. For frick's sake, it's listed on the AFI Top 100.
