iPhone 4S stopped vibating, any advice?

Thing just stopped vibrating all of a sudden. Done everything from a standard reset to a forced reset to jiggling the silent key. I even went with the trusty "throw it on the ground" move.
Anything else I should try before going to an Apple store?

I would try to clean out the docking port as much as possible. The docking port being dirty usually causes the problem of not being able to play sound regardless of the volume, but it might be affecting the vibrate as well. Worth a shot.
If you have a compressed air duster that would be the best to use.

Stop letting your wife use your phone.

download the free 'iBrate' app, and you can make it attempt to vibrate perpetually while you tap the bottom left corner of the phone. Assuming you actually have vibrate enabled and whatnot.

Subtle jab is subtle.

I really do assume that was the first thing he checked, but I had to at least mention it. Kind of like the "Is your computer plugged in?" question when someone says their PC won't turn on.
EDIT: and also just in case:
Settings > Sounds
Vibrate on Ring should be on
Vibrate on Silent should be on

Well, the vibrator assembly is a $2 part that's not too difficult to replace if you can follow instructions thoroughly and keep track of tiny screws. Instructions
Could be loose or corroded. I've never had to replace one on someone's iPhone, but it's one of the many pieces you remove during the process of replacing the screen.

Check in the Sounds section of settings. Make sure vibrate on silent is on.
