Hunters here in my part of Mississippi have been bitching about deer populations being low for years. I keep telling them a Weyerhaeuser pine plantation is severely lacking in forage, but no one listens. However, when you hit the hardwoods around here, deer are almost as numerous as squirrels.

Morons.

I kid you not, I have seen deer near downtown Jackson. In Madison, I've seen them in backyards in suburban neighborhoods.
