Big 10(14) returning to the top in my lifetime? Only if the population shift moves back north with top flight coaches. We all know the general population has been shifting south-west for decades. Nope, manufacturing ain't coming back to the rust belt.

Notre Dame - possibly, but they did luck into the BCS title game 2 years ago and showed that they weren't even the Number 2 team in the country going into the game and even more evident after the game.

Pac 12 - Well, is the epic drought in California ever going to end? Is it going to create a mass exodus of residents out of the state because they have no water to flush toilets, take 2 minute showers? They have the best chance of going on a nice run, but unlikely as long as the SEC keeps winning the arms race.

They lost the game as much as LSU won the game.
Nonsense. LSU took the game away from Wiscy - last time I looked a game is 60 minutes long. WI took the opening kick of the 2nd half and scored. That was the point LSU took the initiative, showed its heart, and took away the game.

I didn't say LSU didn't deserve to win. They did everything they needed to do when it mattered. I only said Wiscy made some 2nd half mistakes and lost the game as much as LSU won it. That point is debatable. Maybe Wiscy made it easier for LSU to win. I'm not sure.

Wisconsin threw 5 passes in the 1st quarter
Wisconsin threw 8 passes in the 2nd quarter.
Wisconsin threw 4 passes in the 3rd quarter.
Wisconsin threw 7 passes in the 4th quarter.

All but one of their passes in the 4th quarter came while LSU had a 28-24 lead.

Chart the pass plays. Then if you watch the game again look for the routes I mentioned previously.

If LSU played anyone else that was decent last Saturday, and they had a play action threat, and any amount of depth on DL it might not go the same way.

We didn't have depth either on DL. We played a total of 3 DT against a team who is in the top 10 rushing every year. This with a heisman RB. One DT was a true freshman, one got a few snaps last year, the last was a guy who fricked his arm up prior to the season, and had played only a few snaps last year.

I mean WTF brah? Neither of us had DL depth. Can't use that as an excuse. We were playing DEs, at one point, at DT against one of the best OLs in the country. Our guys are resilient, our guys found it in them to put the fist half behind, and do everything to win the game.

They had TE on LB mismatches in the middle

They threw at the tight end and got picked off. Use another excuse.

Wiscy had the game won. Injuries, 2nd half play calling and lack of depth really did them in.

come on

they played well in the first half. blew in the 2nd. The D shut them down besides first possession of the half
