I'm still curious if she knows how to read.

No. She did the right thing for Alaska as they were spending money and money on every frivolous ethics complaints and investigations the media, democrats and republicans with a grudge threw at her. She resigned because countless ethics complaints and allegations filed incessantly by her political enemies with an axe to grind was costing her and the state a shite ton of money to investigate and defend against. She did the right thing for herself, her family and the state of Alaska and defused a toxic situation and a toxic political climate.

With that said, I'm no Palin fan as shes terrifyingly dumb and wish she would go away.

Bill Clinton is obviously the "standard bearer" Democrat.

And Palin has said plenty of stupid things - go watch that awful Couric interview. Google her idiotic quote about Paul Revere and how she completely fouled up his ride just MINUTES after leaving his museum in Boston. She's a lightweight.

Absolutely. Even her critics here understand she did what she had to do. The State has passed laws since covering the legal fees for a Gov. in cases like this.

There's also a ton of passages in "Game Change" about how she said some incredibly dumb shite during the 2008 campaign and McCains staff just looked at each other as if to say "what have we gotten ourselves into?"

Namely - for some reason she couldn't pronounce "Biden" so finally they just had her say "Joe" which is the reason for her "dya mind eef aye callya Jooo?" Question to Biden at the beginning of their debate.

What's the correct answer? NYT? The Economist? Wash Post? National Review? Are those the proper places to help understand the world? Are her views merely supposed to be repetitions of others thoughts? Is that a way to burnish bona fides on the Left, by telling us whose thoughts you regurgitate in public?

This is my favorite Palin gaffe:

quote:

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed," Biden told Couric. "He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'"

What a dumb bitch, right?

Wait, that was Joe Biden, the actual vice president. Now tell me, you fricking liberals, why Biden doesn't represent all dems, but Palin represents all Republicans?

Ok. I did. This is what I found, from NPR:

quote:

BLOCK: So you think basically, on the whole, Sarah Palin got her history right.

Prof. ALLISON: Well, yeah, she did.

Even the factcheck.org site admitted she was being unfairly attacked.

Palin may not be that bright, but what difference does it make, she has no role with any influence on your way of life. What you should be concerned about is the current vice president who is clearly lacking in mental capacity to the point where a number of people in the inner circles of Washington question his sanity.

You see what happens when the NYT is your source for info about the world?

You make an ill informed post like you just did.

So - you cannot read - or are too stupid to do more than mouth the words.

I am no fan of Palin. She does not impress me. I defend her against mouth breathers like you because it is sort of a 'thing' that I do - I actually enjoy speaking truth to stupidity.

You would never hear me speak her name if people like you and your ijit cousins didn't try to make political points jumping on what Tina Fey said.

She was unprepared for the national spotlight being shown on her immediately - that was not her fault. However her instincts are far far better than any DEM you can mention. If you would like to compare her to her actual rival in the 08 election, be my guest - she would wipe the floor with that assclown Biden in terms of rational thought.

But you and your ilk go ahead and keep poking fun at her - if you ever come up with something substantial, I may join you. But for now you are merely impressing those who are more stupid than yourself.

btw = I am no "impressed' by those smarter than Biden. Hell my neighbor's dog is smarter than Biden. And that dog sometimes eats shite.

I remember that. She had a verbal tick that caused her to say "O'Biden", and she had a hard time ridding herself of it.

I disagree with your (and your links) assertion that she got the facts right - she turned the story of Paul revere into a story about gun rights when it was not. Her comprehension and takeaway of revere's ride and his sacrifice was appalling.
