I think you don't get it. Given Georgia's schedule, and given that Ohio State was a consensus #1, it was mathematically impossible for Georgia to qualify even if they got every #2 vote. The polls didn't matter--Georgia lost too many games against their relatively weak schedule.

And it winded up being one of the best LSU games ever.

That was such a crazy year. It's still crazy to think about LSU winning the BCS with two losses. The Arkansas game is easily top five most painful losses for me as an LSU fan.

Thank you LeSean McCoy for saving us.

2007 sucked arse....upsets are fine and all but when #1 and 5 of the top 10 get upset every week for the entire season it gets old.

App State is terrible. But then again this Michigan team isn't as good as the Michigan team that lost to them either.

2007 was great in terms of pure entertainment value. But the quality of play was extremely down that year.

So the non-SEC winner should've gone instead of the SEC winner with the stronger resume?

I was tailgating in the crappy Liberty Bowl parking lot for a Memphis/Ole Miss game and heard the final play on the radio.

SEC winner was 7th

Beating a Tennessee team that was incredibly bi polar doesn't justify jumping up five spots
